About the teacher .... Name: Lisa Marie (Peightal) Adams
I grew up in Indiana, PA with my parents and my brother. After graduating from I.U.P, I moved to northern VA to teach in a small rural school in Loudoun County. It was there I met my future husband. After teaching at Blue Ridge, I moved to Chicago, IL to be with my now husband. I taught in IL for a year and then returned to my true love: western PA. I taught at Gateway Middle School for three years, got married and started a family. I was then blessed with the opportunity to join the staff at Homer-Center HS in 2005. My husband, Brad Adams, is a science teacher at Derry Middle School. Together we now have 2 children: Emily is currently (2014) 10 and Lily is 6. We also have a dog named Daisy (our first child), a puppy named Gus, 2 cats named Fuzzy and Ava and 18 chickens. Family is very important to us. I cherish every moment I spend with my husband and kids, and extended family well.
